Questions
- How is the shot length calculated?
- One beat lasts 60 divided by the BPM, in seconds. A shot lasts that beat length times the beats per bar times the bars per shot, so at 120 BPM in 4/4 a two-bar shot is 4 seconds and every cut lands on the downbeat.
- How many bars should each shot be?
- Use 1 bar for fast, high-energy edits, 2 bars for most pop and hip-hop, and 4 or 8 bars for slow songs, intros and long camera moves.
- What happens to my lyrics?
- Lines are spread across the shots in order so you can see which words play over each cut. Section tags like [Chorus] are skipped. Nothing is uploaded; the plan is built in your browser.
