Reddit Story: build a short around one reveal

Reviewed September 8, 2026. The video above is an existing format example; the written example below has not been rendered.

A Reddit-style short works best when the title introduces a problem and the narration changes how the viewer understands it. Write the ending first so you know which details the opening needs.

Korpi's Reddit Story format uses a post card, narration, background footage and captions. Prepare a title and story, then choose the background and audio settings. Use your own writing or material you have permission to adapt. See the format.

Here is an original fictional example:

Title: I thought my roommate was taking my lunch.

Every Monday my lunch disappeared from the office fridge. I blamed my roommate because we work in the same building. This week I left a note in the bag: “At least tell me if the pasta was good.” At noon he called me laughing. We had been packing our lunches in identical bags. Mine was still in our fridge at home.

The story keeps one conflict and resolves it with a detail introduced earlier. It is a fictional sample, not a quotation from a Reddit user. If you use a post-style card, avoid presenting invented writing as a sourced account from a real person.

Enter the title and story. Choose a background with steady motion, then select narration, music and voice speed. Read the title at phone size: a short headline is easier to understand before the narration begins.

Preview the audio and remove repeated setup. Render after checking the current plan and credit requirements. Inspect the title card, the first sentence and the reveal. The captions should not hide the background's main subject, and the ending should remain on screen long enough to read.

If the reveal arrives too early, add one useful detail rather than padding the story. If it arrives too late, cut the introduction. Keep the title and ending consistent; a surprising title that promises a different story will disappoint the viewer.

Prepared demos illustrate selected Korpi workflows. They do not replace paid custom generation. Check the creator's current access and cost before producing your own script. Compare plans, then open Reddit Story.
